As a client we will provide you with the following services:

  • Assist in identifying exposures and risks and develop a proposal to submit to potential insurance providers.
  • Advise and make recommendations regarding your insurance requirements.
  • Communicate our recommendations.
  • Prepare underwriting submissions.
  • Seek insurance quotes from the general insurance market before making a recommendation.
  • Negotiate terms with any existing insurance providers and with alternative insurance providers.
  • Place the insurances as agreed.
  • Review policy wordings and obtain signed policy documents from insurance providers.
  • Confirm the placement of the insurance.
  • Calculate, invoice, adjust and collect the premiums and associated charges.
  • Review your insurance arrangements:
    • when you inform us about material changes to your circumstances;
    • at the time of any reviews as agreed;
    • upon renewal of your insurances
  • Facilitate policy changes and/or cancellations as per your instructions.
  • Assist you with any Insurance Premium Funding needs.
  • Assist you in managing any claims:
    • we will keep you informed in a timely manner regarding the progress of claims.
    • the insurance provider’s response to a submitted claim, will be notified to you, in a timely manner.
    • if a claim is unreasonably denied or reduced by the insurance provider, we will act as claims advocate to try to have the claim paid.
    • if the insurance provider declines to pay a claim, we will explain the reasons for the insurer’s decision and outline what further steps can be taken, including steps to make a complaint.
    • in the event you terminate our appointment as your insurance broker we will provide details of any claim(s) to your new insurance broker so they may continue to negotiate settlement on your behalf
  • Where we act under an arranging insurance or a claim’s authority from the insurance provider that causes a conflict of interest, we will notify you, and provide measures to manage the conflict.
  • Take reasonable steps to contact you at least fourteen (14) days prior to your insurance cover expiry date to engage you on the next steps to be taken prior to the expiry of the policy.
  • Take appropriate, professional and timely action to seek insurance cover and advise you of available options for your consideration.
  • Provide market leading risk management services to insured clients, at no additional cost, through our related business, informed by Planned Cover. Services include:
    • Contract Reviews – An agreed number of Contract Reviews - Insurance reviews of consultancy agreements and related documents
    • Risk Management Seminars and Webinars
    • Practice Guides – valuable resource providing general guidance and help to identify risk management solutions for some common risk areas (including insurance and contract related topics) in the construction industry
