Meet Eleanor Debelle

Eleanor Debelle joined IBL Limited as Chief Executive Officer in December 2025. She brings more than 30 years of experience across Financial Services, spanning economics, investment management and general insurance.

Eleanor began her career as an economist at the Reserve Bank of Australia before moving into investment consulting with Towers Perrin Australia. She later joined Insurance Australia Group (IAG), where she spent 11 years in senior investment management roles covering strategic asset allocation, portfolio management and investment operations.

In 2015, Eleanor joined QBE Insurance Group’s global investment management business before moving into the Australia Pacific insurance division as General Manager of Commercial Lines. She was subsequently appointed Chief Human Resources Officer and later Managing Director, Consumer, where she led customer strategy, experience and financial performance for a ~$A2.3 billion portfolio.

Eleanor is recognised for her combination of commercial acumen, operational rigour and people-centred leadership, enabling her to drive sustainable growth in complex and highly regulated markets.
