Meet Eric Passaris

Eric is a Partner at Grant Thornton Australia and is the Head of Audit & Assurance in Melbourne.

He has over thirty years of diverse experience in the accounting profession, specialising in the provision of audit and assurance services and forensic accounting and litigation support. His portfolio of clients includes public listed companies, private owner-operated businesses and not-for-profit organisations, spanning manufacturing, technology, insurance, retail, education and service industries.

Eric is called upon to provide expert evidence in auditor/accountant professional negligence cases for legal proceedings, commercial disputes, insurance claims and disciplinary proceedings. Eric has been a member of CPA Australia’s Disciplinary Committee, a member of the Companies Auditors Disciplinary Board, and applies his skills and expertise as an auditor in hearing ethical and professional negligence complaints.

Eric also sits on a number of boards and governance committees in the for-profit and non-for-profit sectors.
