Meet Karen Meiklejohn

Karen is the SME Broking & Training Manager at Planned Cover, leading the SME broking team and driving technical capability, operational performance and continuous improvement across the business. Her role focuses on simplifying broking processes, improving client and broker experience, and supporting the adoption of technology and more efficient ways of working.

With more than 30 years’ experience in the insurance industry, Karen has worked across all classes of insurance, specialising in Professional Indemnity insurance. She has extensive experience supporting architects, engineers, building designers, real estate agents and accountants, giving her a deep understanding of the unique risks faced by professional service firms.

Karen is passionate about developing people and building high-performing teams. She leads training, onboarding and capability initiatives that strengthen technical knowledge, consistency and professional standards, while fostering a collaborative culture focused on delivering exceptional client outcomes.
